Join us on September 14, 2018 for the 3rd Annual Joy In The Cause 5K Run. Enjoy live music, local food trucks, team challenges, and an all-new Village of Causes at our End-of-Summer Bash at River West Festival Park . Participants in the One Mile Fun Run or the 5K (3.1 mile) can register to race and receive the 2018 custom-designed Rustic Cuff! A Virtual Run is available if you are not able to join us in person. All proceeds from this event support Joy In The Cause. Sponsorships available.
The Joy In The Cause 5K Run has many event options to cover the entire family. You can choose the One Mile Fun Run or the 5K Race, each with or without the limited-edition Rustic Cuff*. T-shirts are a soft cotton blend and measured in men’s sizes. Child size shirts are available.
All Fun Run and 5K participants must register for the race and wear your race number while on the course. If you register for the 5K, you can also participate in the FunRun with a registered friend or family member. Your fans, friends, and family are welcome to watch you race and stay to enjoy the End-of-Summer Bash.

Walk-in registration is available until September 11th at RunnersWorld Tulsa, 3920 S Peoria Ave. Store hours: Mon-Wed, Fri, Sat: 10am-6:00pm, Thu: 10am-7:00pm, Sun: 1-5:00pm. Cash or check only for walk-in registration.
Registration is also available during packet pickup and at the event beginning at 4:30pm.
Your race packet includes your T-shirt, custom designed Rustic Cuff (if you chose the Cuff option), and race bib. You are required to wear your race number on race day.
Packets are not available at RunnersWorld Tulsa, only at Pinot’s Palette.
Can’t make it to Tulsa for race day? Join the event from your hometown with our Virtual Run option.
The Joy In The Cause Virtual Run allows you to sign up for the event yet run 3.1 miles at a different time and location. You still get the benefits of participating but on your own schedule. Virtual Runners will receive the limited-edition Rustic Cuff, t-shirt, race bib, and Finisher Medal for you to run your 5K anytime and anyplace. If you live out of town sign up for the “packet by mail” option and we will ship your packet on September 12th. The mail option is only available if you live further than 50 miles away; otherwise, please plan to pick up your race packet at the Packet Pick-up times/dates listed above.

Our aid stations are manned by the best volunteers in the area. Most are runners themselves and like to give back to the community at the Joy In The Cause 5K.
The Joy In The Cause 5K wouldn't be possible without the help of great volunteers. Sign up for a shift at our VolunteerSignup website. Don't worry if you are new to the volunteer scene. You'll be working alongside and learning from the best of the best.
We have shifts available Friday afternoon and evening on September 14th. There are many opportunities for families to work together. Students can volunteer for school or club volunteer hours.

This year we are rallying all teams!
Get your school, business, organization, or friends involved and form a team! First Responders, Police, Fire, Life Flight....are you up for the Team Challenge?!? All you have to do is decide on the name of your team and invite everyone to register under your "Team Name". You will still be timed as an individual (no awards in the actual race for teams).
There will be special Just-for-Fun Team Awards given for Best Tutus, Most Joyful Spirit, Largest Team, Most Creative Outfits, and Most Superheroes!

NEW THIS YEAR!! Joy In The Cause wants to bring awareness to your Cause and help others learn more about it.
Organizations can register (for free) to set up a pop-up tent in our first-ever Village of Causes where groups from all over the area are invited to hand out brochures, giveaways, prizes — let creativity be your guide — in an effort to share your mission with our runners and fans.
At Joy In The Cause, your Cause matters! This year we want all those causes to be recognized! Cancer, Heart Babies, Down Syndrome, Parkinson’s, Autoimmune, the list is endless! Whatever your Cause, get a team together to support it!
We would love for you to represent your Cause at this year’s race by putting up a table/tent with information about your Cause.
Spots are limited. If you are interested in registering your organization for a space in the Village of Causes send an e-mail with the name of your organization and a brief description of your Cause to email@example.com.
Your Cause must be a registered 501(c)(3) non profit. We will contact you within 30 days of submission to let you know of approval.
